A map index to the original Interstate Commerce Commission railroad valuation maps for Oregon (1915–1920). Each line is one valuation section as drawn on the 1916 ICC index maps, tagged with the railroad prefix used there (for example O&C-5).
Getting the maps. The originals are in Record Group 134 at the National Archives at College Park, Maryland (Cartographic). A pull request needs the railroad name, valuation section, state and NARA bundle number; sheet numbers and shelf locations come from NARA staff. Use the copy button in a section's details.
How sections are grouped. The index is grouped by the railroad NARA files the bundle under. Some roads are filed under a parent company: Oregon & California, Central Pacific and Beaverton & Willsburg sections are in Southern Pacific bundles.
Accuracy. Lines are index-level: drawn between approximate stations and snapped to known track. They locate a section, not its exact alignment. Interurban lines are a separate reference layer and were not part of the ICC valuation series indexed here.
